First day-time jam in a while!

I have recently sold on my Peak, Volca Drum and 0-Coast. Not because they were bad in any way, but because I really needed a change. The setup I have now feels like a better combination.

I replaced them with the DFAM, Mother 32 and a Digitone. I used to own a Digitone and really missed it – it’s the one piece of gear I regretted selling.

This track started out as a duo between the DFAM and mother 32 (I recorded and shot that video too). The two synths then returned back to my desk, and I started patching them with the modular. I’m glad I did, this second attempt is a better evolution of the first.

Mother 32 is on big reverb bass, DFAM on heavy drums, and Plaits, Basimilus and Arbhar are the stars of the modular. The top lead line is Plaits with random notes coming from PNW which are being pitched up and down with Quadratt, then run through Scales for quantisation. Basimilus is getting its rhythm from PNW. Arbhar is granulating Plaits and being modulated by PNW (check the huge granular cloud at the end).

Eurorack is pretty new to me. I’m beginning to feel more comfortable with it jam by jam. Still not quite there yet though, but every session is a learning process.

Enjoy!
