TV network CBS has been roasted after being “forced to admit” United States President Donald Trump has “heavily fortified” America’s border.

During a CBS Mornings Plus segment, reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez visited the US-Mexico border, where he discussed what he had seen.

“It is quiet here at the U.S./Mexico border, where illegal crossings are down by more than 90% from the same time last year.

“We have seen Border Patrol agents, soldiers, vehicles, and barriers — but no migrants,” he said.

“President Trump has shut down the US asylum system, empowering officials to swiftly deport migrants without processing their claims, he has also deployed thousands of troops to the border and tasked the military with deportations.

Reaction to CBS’ coverage has sparked mass comments online, with many praising President Trump’s handling of the border and roasting the TV network for its change in stance.
