Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal step by step (Cholecystectomy):
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove the gallbladder. It's commonly performed when someone has gallstones that cause pain or other complications.
Gallbladder Surgery Procedure step by step:
First step, Anesthesia: The patient is put under general anesthesia to ensure they are unconscious and pain-free during the surgery.
Second step, Small Incisions: The surgeon makes 3 to 4 small incisions (about 1/2 to 1 inch long) in the abdomen.
Third step Inserting Instruments: A laparoscope (a thin tube with a camera) is inserted through one of the incisions, providing a live video feed of the internal organs. Other surgical instruments are inserted through the remaining incisions.
Fourth step, Inflating the Abdomen: The abdomen is inflated with carbon dioxide gas to create space for the surgeon to operate and to see the organs clearly.
Five step, Removing the Gallbladder: The surgeon carefully detaches the gallbladder from the liver and bile ducts, then removes it through one of the incisions.
Six step, Closing Incisions: The instruments are removed, the gas is released, and the small incisions are closed with sutures or surgical staples.
