US Representative Jasmine Crockett has been roasted after she falsely insisted “it’s not a crime” to cross America’s border illegally.

The Democrat appeared on MSNBC’s ‘The Katie Phang Show’ to discuss her appearance at a House Committee hearing on sanctuary city policies.

During her time on MSNBC, Crockett explained to the left-leaning viewers that illegally entering the United States was not a “crime”.

The representative argued it is not a crime but a “civil accusation”, meaning illegal immigrants are not criminals, according to Fox News.

Crockett then explained how illegally entering the US is a “civil violation” and “not a criminal violation.”

“They continue to say things like ‘the illegals’ and that they broke the law coming in. But what they’re not telling the American people is that it is a civil violation,” she said.

“It is not a criminal violation to enter the country illegally. It’s not. It’s not criminal. It’s not a crime. It’s not a crime.”
