I was lucky 40 odd years ago when a collector contacted me about some 16mm Kinescope films he retrieved from a trash dumpster out side of Channel 5 in New York City.

One of my discoveries turned out to be DuMont television shows which included a series of lost "Night Beat" news shows hosted by Mike Wallace.This is an excerpt of a complete show I've restored with Historic Films of Mike Wallace interviewing Thurgood Marshall, Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund, Inc.
