This webinar introduces practical guidelines for heat pump use in multi-unit buildings (both residential and commercial) to supply domestic hot water and heating. Norm Anderson and Chun Goh from Energy Smart Water, along with Peter Teoh from Thermal Energy Solutions and John Kiff from Collins 101 Street presented a case study on heat pumps installed at this award-winning energy efficient building. Following the case study, Jarrod Leak from A2EP and Dr Ahmad Mojiri from RMIT University outline a number of practical considerations and other advice for implementing heat pumps in multi-unit residential and commercial buildings.

This case study was presented as part of a full webinar, Practical guidelines for heat pump installations, which took place on 21 July.

A2EP was engaged by the Victorian Department of Energy, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) to deliver webinars and technical guidelines to assist in industry capacity building for the new Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Commercial and Industrial Air-sourced Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) activity. The technical guidelines will be read by hundreds of end users and energy consultants that are investigating and potentially investing in heat pump technology.

This webinar series has been developed in collaboration with the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).

Visit the Essential Services Commission website to learn about the commercial and industrial heat pump water heater activities able to be undertaken by accredited persons under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
