In this episode of cabin in the woods, we take the porch to the second story and start building out the roof frame! I show you our method and connection detail for our second story porch cedar columns, as well as our roof framing details. It may appear a little unconventional, and that's okay, because it is. There has been lots of math used up to this point to make sure everything is cut and installed as close to correct as possible. This not only makes it easier for us in the long run, but it's also our way to constantly check ourselves for errors.
