Celebrating 25 years since its release, Zed Bias gives us a rare interview to dive into the story of ‘Neighbourhood’. Originally made as a dubplate for his friend Glen Woods, with the iconic vocal being recorded in his bedroom through a pair of headphones by MC Rumpus. Zed went on to sample the track and recruit Nicky Prince on vocals to create the version we now know.
‘Neighbourhood’ made its way into the UK charts in the summer of 2000 after becoming a huge hit in the London underground scene. Zed discusses how that track took him all over the world, its universal message, and how at one point he fell out of love with the track.
