All other versions of this song are illegal and unauthorised. This is the official video of what the voters on The BBC Red Nose Day considered to be the worst charity record ever made. In 1985, when Doctor Who was cancelled after season twenty two, then after fan pressure, the BBC backtracked and gave it an 18 month hiatus instead of an outright cancellation. The producer John Nathan Turner's boyfriend, Gary Downie, came up with the excruciating idea of making a Band Aid type charity record to save the show. Unfortunately, I got dragged into this, along with Hans Zimmer and Fiachra Trench, to produce the most APPALLING stain on my career. Who Cares was created to sing the execrable "Doctor In Distress", seen here for the first time ever officially, and in HD. I hate it but it still needed to be officially on YouTube.
