A small procession crosses the horizon towards the burial mound. Wreaths of white flowers are paraded solemnly, accompanied by mournful chanting and lamented whispers. This is the last farewell to those they loved. This is how they will be remembered. Starting the year on the high note or what. The main flute melody I shamelessly stole, overhearing a marching band a while ago on the street. It was arranged for brass and trumpets in the typical marching band fashion and it was supposed to sound glorious and upbeat, but man I remember just thinking what a depressive melody it was. So I repurposed it into this folk funeral rites tune. Properly melancholic and mournful, precisely as it was playing in my head back when I first heard it.
Side note, I was working on a completely different track - a dark cyberpunk-ish soundscape with Bleed type bassline, but it got bricked and corrupted irreparably, so 2 weeks of work poof gone. I can't even load it up to scrap it for parts. Oh well, keep on keeping on.
