6AM is proud to contribute to the OBSERVE event series in Los Angeles, providing support to the core OBSERVE team who have been producing these life-changing techno experiences for the last 22 years

This video, taken during the latest OBSERVE edition on Thanksgiving weekend 2024, perfectly encapsulates the OBSERVE experience, with special commentary by Drumcell, Truncate, Luke Slater, Rødhåd, David Castellani and Centrific.

From the words of the OBSERVE crew:
Los Angeles is a special landscape for underground events. For the past 22 years, we’ve worked to build a techno community in the shadows of Hollywood’s bright lights—an environment where this music can thrive. In a city where club culture ends at 2 a.m. and rarely supports fringe music, underground warehouse spaces become blank canvases for us to create worlds where people can get lost.

Underground events happen all over the world, but rarely as often as they do in Southern California. Nearly every weekend of the year, these events come to life in a vast variety of unique spaces and locations. But this comes with great responsibility. It requires a special relationship between promoters and attendees to keep these events safe and free from unwanted control.

Over time, the scene has grown beyond what we alone have curated for two decades. Now, a large collective of promoters and like-minded individuals contributes to this community, and together, we work to keep a fragile scene alive.

2024 has been an incredible year for techno in Los Angeles, and we hope the community continues to build strength and momentum while keeping things sustainable. To all the crews who’ve made space for us and helped push our vision forward—we thank you. To the supporters and dancers of Los Angeles—your attendance and cooperation make this possible. Without you, there would be no dance floor, and we wouldn’t be able to continue curating OBSERVE.
