For those of you who don't know, Blizzard has recently shut down all the PVE content for Overwatch 2, a project that was over 3 years in the making. Overwatch 2 was originally promised to deliver groundbreaking PVE content with character trees and long-term progression. However, as of May 16th, all of those features were removed, leaving many fans questioning what truly sets Overwatch 2 apart.

On top of removing key features, the development team has shown little to no progress, with the majority of their resources dedicated to the new PVE concept. As a result, Overwatch 2 now feels almost indistinguishable from the original Overwatch, except for the fact that players can no longer obtain skins unless they are locked in the shop or hidden behind the four seasons of battle passes that Blizzard has released.
