AstroForge is sending a probe up to space to mine metals from asteroids for use on earth! They will be sending up a probe as a ride along on Intuitive Machines third moon mission in 2025. The plan will be to dock the 200kg probe, using magnets with a metallic, near earth asteroid. If successful, the mission after will be focused on actually extracting and refining the metals before returning to earth.
