Several times on AT40 shows Casey Kasem shared stories about artists from the same music group occupying spots in the U.S. Top 40 at the same time such as the Beatles and Genesis. This video is part of a 2 part series that contains music video clips of cases where either multiple artists from the same group or an artist and the group itself occupied spots on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts simultaneously. Dates are chronological from 1970-1989. There are cheats in a few cases where artists may have been a week or two off from the others, and those were included because they were so close. There is also an Honorable Mention section at the end of Part 2 where none of the artists overlapped exactly in one week but were close enough to include here (plus they were great songs). There are also a couple of cases where the chart in question is the U.S. Rock chart. Artists are included if they ever performed in the group in the past or present. I'm sure there are many missing as it is difficult to research cases where artists played session work on albums.
