So essentially the backing track is in C Major, however the C Minor Pentatonic (or blues scale) works perfectly over the progression.
I liked the dry darkish drive tone for the solo - but I imagine a slap-back echo could also work great.

The guitar I used in this video is a Blade RH4 - with a pair of Seymour Duncan P-Rails pickups - going into the Kemper Profiling amp with Tonejunkie profiles.
The bass is actually the new Toontrack EZ Bass plugin. Pretty cool virtual instrument and much tighter than me with those funky lines.
Clavinet is from Arturia.
Drums is Toontrack Superior Drummer 3.
Mixed with plugins from Plugin Alliance, Fabfilter, Soundtoys,
Izotope Ozone 9 for the mastering.
