The backbone of this Swedish band was formed by musicians who played in the semi-psychedelic jazz-rock band Asoka in the early 70s. With the formation of Lotus, the stylistic guidelines of the band members did not change much. The completely instrumental material presented on the record is distinguished by its rare melody. Most of the album tracks are played at high speeds with remarkable drive. Unlike many of their seventies colleagues, the sound of Lotus does not suffer from a variety of synthesizers and keyboards. The guys got by with a minimal set of instruments, but their music can in no way be called ascetic. Released two years later, Vera O'Flera was no longer so bright and integral. It seemed that the guys were exhausted: not very expressive and somewhat chaotic in terms of content, the disc was inferior to the debut in all respects. Anticipating a creative crisis, Lotus broke up. And, apparently, this was the only correct decision.
