Daren Ellis 'Daz' was born 15th May 1969 & died on 20th March 2024, aged 54.

Son of Roy Ellis from the group Symarip, Daz Ellis founded Splash Recordings, which later became part of Juice Records.

He was a DJ on Elite FM with DJ Vibes and then founded the pirate station Cyndicut FM.

Best known for his Splash and Undercover Agent aliases.

Cyndicut FM was an Essex based Pirate Radio station that began broadcasting in South Essex, North Kent & East London around the late 80s on 100.4 FM floating between 101FM then 101.25 then 97.8 FM frequency as an Acid House/Hardcore music pirate station.

With the evolution of underground came the wave of Jungle music and then Drum & Bass and Cyndicut FM followed this musical tide of change, with a whole heap of legendary DJs, including Andy C, DJ Vibes, Magistrate, Embee, MATT, Just Jones, Philly K, Jess, Red One, Sphinx, TJ, DJ Destruction, Hologram, Tag, Rhythm and DJ DAZ aka Splash aka Undercover Agent of Splash and Juice records, along with many other DJs, MCs and producers
