Undaunted, Haile Selassie I, who had been forced into exile after Italy's invasion of Ethiopia, persuaded the British to help him build a liberation army to drive the Italians out of his country. On May 5, 1941, five years to the date of Mussolini's conquest, with British Colonel Orde Win- gate as his military advisor, Selassie made a triumphant entry back to the throne of Ethiopia. This video documents the speech he delivered to his nation and the world!
