This week has been one of those where it feels like the moment you fix one thing, something else breaks. First, one of the mower robots has an issue, and then, after just two rounds with the big mower, something weird happens and it breaks too. So it is time to order parts and tackle more repairs. Luckily, Philippe is never one to back down from a challenge and always figures out how to fix things himself.

While we’ve been lucky with some beautiful weather, it also brought the first real heatwave of the summer. Perfect weather for digging if only the dumper parts would arrive. So for now, we pace ourselves. Working early in the morning or in the evening when the cool air comes down from the hills.

This week is also one where we get a little creative. We try out our new Creality laser cutter and are really surprised by what it can do. We are just scratching the surface, but it already allows us to create some really cool things.

And then we have some very special new arrivals. Our two kittens, Ella and Ginny. To help protect the furniture, Philippe gets to work building a beautiful scratch pole. Definitely better than anything store-bought.

We also continue working on the veggie garden and bring in extra mulch to cover all the paths, making the space tidier and more practical. As soon as the sun starts to go down, we head back outside to continue our work in the vegetable garden.
