As we mark 80 years since the victory in China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, a new film is making waves. "Dead to Rights" – centered on the Nanjing Massacre – has become a summer hit, earning over 1.8 billion yuan (about $250 million) in just two weeks. Guests on this episode of Dialogue are Teng Jimeng, senior research fellow at the Center for China and Globalization, and Warwick Powell, senior fellow at the Taihe Institute.
