Panic has erupted once again in Nigeria’s Benue State as suspected armed herders launched a deadly attack on Otobi community in the Akpa district of Otukpo Local Government Area. The Tuesday evening assault left several residents feared dead and forced hundreds to flee their homes. This attack adds to a troubling pattern of violence across the country, including recent incidents in Plateau and Borno states. Joining us to discuss the deepening security crisis are Terrence Kuanum, Special Adviser on Public Affairs to the Secretary to the Government; Chidi Omeje, Security Affairs Analyst; and Meddy Olotu, a Human Rights Activist based in Otukpo.
