Breast self-examination is a screening method used in an attempt to detect early breast cancer. The method involves the woman herself looking at and feeling each breast for possible lumps, distortions or swelling. Earlier the detection of breast cancer, better is the treatment planning.
Regular breast self-exams will let you know the presence of lumps (if any), and you can consult your Doctor accordingly.
