For the supplemental section of Rhythm Training for Pianists I have created additional exercise for each topic, eighth note syncopation, eighth note syncopation with triplets, sixteenth note syncopation, 6/8 syncopation, and some bonus material that mixes everything together and additional eighth note based time signatures like 9/8 and 12/8. In this section I will be choosing more difficult metronome settings. However, as with the previous chapters of Rhythm Training for Pianists, the metronome settings that I use are only suggestions. You are welcome to adjust the metronome as you see fit, whether faster, slower, half time, one-third time, or even things we haven’t tried such as one-quarter time. Your only limit is your imagination.
