After the occupation of Crimea, Russians transformed the once flourishing resort peninsula into a giant military base. Now, over 220 military facilities and tens of thousands of soldiers are stationed there. Crimea has become a platform for attacking Ukraine with all kinds of weapons. Nonetheless, Russian authorities keep attracting tourists to Crimea, exposing them to the dangers of the war raging nearby. Russians also deliberately place their weapons next to civilian objects, violating all norms of humanitarian law. This will continue until Ukraine reclaims the peninsula, once again turning it from a military base into a place intended for people.
