You plan for dead batteries. Bring spares. You bring a couple extra cords - just in case - and a backup cassette. You bring a few rags and even more batteries. But I couldn’t not have anticipated ten thousand mosquitoes! It was brutal. Oh well. That’s the price you pay for embarking on shenanigans of this sort. It might even be the whole point.

The music itself was pretty much an afterthought. Arpeggiating two chords, back and forth. Back and forth. Totally improvised without a moment's consideration. Fiddling with knobs. Evolving it a little. Not much. Making mistakes. Swatting mosquitos. I even missed my chord change a couple times. Whatever. It wasn’t really about that this time.

This was all a big experiment. The first deployment of Moon Base Delta into the wild. I’ve only been playing with this stuff for a few weeks. There are so many synths and sequencers and effects boxes to discover. Song structure to play with. Tension to create and resolve. We’re just getting started here. And it’s already THIS MUCH fun.
