Allan Williams, "the man who gave the Beatles away". He kick-started the Beatles early career.
George, Paul, John and Stuart Sutcliffe changed their band name from The Silver Beatles to The Beatles and recruited drummer Pete Best after Allan Williams secured the Liverpool lads their first residency in Hamburg.
As well as steering the Beatles' early career, Williams was a promotor and ran several Liverpool Clubs. These included the Jacaranda and the Wyvern Social Club, where the Silver Beetles famously failed their audition on 10 May 1960, to back Billy Fury on his up coming UK tour.
