Along the roads in South Sri Lanka, many huts display piles of clay bowls. They happen to contain what the locals call "meekiri" - a kind of sour curd made mostly with buffalo milk. (It can be made from cow milk, as well).
We stopped on one of them, on the way to Ella, from Yala. The lady seller was really kind, offering us to taste it with local honey. (Actually it wasn't bee honey, but some tree sap boiled to syrup). The mix, (which can be found everywhere, from street-food stalls, to fine dining restaurants) was super tasty!
