After years of relative peace, the Knights of the Southern Order stood restless in their halls, deep within the fortress of Caldhor Keep. The grand chamber, where strategy was decided and campaigns planned, echoed with the murmurs of gathered knights and advisors. Maps of the Mountain Realm lay unfurled across the long stone table, marked with potential invasion routes and strongholds yet unconquered.

Lord Commander Varyn Blackshield, the leader of the Order, paced at the head of the chamber. His gaze swept over the room, landing on the knights who would soon march under the lion banner. The plan had been whispered for years: to claim the Mountain Realm, to bring its unruly tribes and wild lands under southern rule, and to tame the savage peaks.

"The time for caution has passed," Varyn declared, his voice carrying an edge of impatience. "The Mountain Realm is fractured, its tribes divided. We must strike before they unite. Their resources—iron, timber, land—will ensure the dominance of the Southern Kingdoms for generations."

The knights nodded in agreement, though a few among them cast nervous glances at the maps. The Mountain Realm was a land of strange magic and unforgiving terrain, where even the boldest armies could be swallowed by the elements or the fierce resistance of its inhabitants.

Sir Gareth Aldwyn, one of the Order’s senior strategists, stepped forward. "The Jaws of Morbog provide the most accessible entry, but it is treacherous, and the tribes that dwell there are known for their cunning ambushes. Still, with careful planning, we can push through before winter sets in."

Varyn waved a hand dismissively. "We will not wait for winter's grace. Our numbers will be overwhelming. We bring the south's steel to their stone and silence their resistance before it even begins."

There was no room for hesitation. The Knights of the Southern Order would prepare, each knowing that conquest of the Mountain Realm would be no easy task, but the promise of glory and riches spurred them forward. Plans were set, and the banners of the Order would soon march north.

And so, as the sun set over Caldhor Keep, the knights polished their armor and sharpened their swords, ready to bring the realm to heel.
