Jesus said that "Moses wrote about me” and that the Old Testament "Scriptures testify about me” (John 5:39-46). He also explained to the disciples “what was said in all the scriptures concerning himself" (Luke 24:27). And Paul claimed that Christ "was raised on the third day according to the scriptures" (1 Cor. 15:3).
But how can these claims be true? What passages in the Old Testament are all about Jesus and say He would be raised on the third day?

We’ll see that not only are the Scriptures telling the historical truth, but they are much more inspiring than just a historical record. There are repeated themes and events from Genesis to Revelation that give us a more profound sense of who God is and His mission for us. They also demonstrate that only God can be the primary inspirational force behind the Bible.
