Michael August Raggi is a Senior Threat Research Engineer at Proofpoint with a focus on creating detections for Advanced Persistent Threat actors in the APAC region.
Michael has published extensive research on Chinese APT activity including shared tooling and phishing kits utilized by adversaries as part of a shared state sponsored supply chain. Previously, he has worked as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst at Anomali, Sr. Cyber Intelligence Analyst at BAE Systems in the defense sector, and at Morgan Stanley as a dedicated analyst on the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from New York University and in a prior life before cybersecurity he worked as an art theft and recovery specialist reclaiming over $11 million in stolen paintings and drawings.
