This restaurant closes every weekend, and here's why I won't hire a weekend-specific team. Most of the team here has been with us from the start. That's 10+ years of working side-by-side as a team.
As a boss, if you think hiring someone new is something you can do on a whim and then just walk away, you're doing it wrong.
It takes a lot of time and energy to train and fully incorporate a new team member into your workflow. One wrong move and you can mess up the vibe of the whole team.
Closing on the weekends is important to us, and it has worked so well for my team.
If you don't like it, you can run your own restaurant differently.
