Just showing you a little bit of how a compressor works.

The Ratio basically means X:1, where for every X db over the threshold, the signal will be reduced with 1.


So if the signal is 10 db over the threshold, and the Ratio is 2:1, it will be reduced by 5 decibel. Correct me if I am wrong.
