This video is a rehearsal recording , song one of 4 amy winehouse cover songs ' all recorded on an analog tape recorder the Electronica TA 01-003 which is an old soviet tape machine the recording is really wonky in bits i might upload all 4 songs i love the sound of this tape machine it sounds aged and vintage and i wanted to share my love for this song with youtube from one of our great British artists #amywinehouse #amywinehousecover .so i hope you enjoy it
it took a lot of digital tweaking and tricks to bring the sound to the fore .its not the greatest sound quality but it wasn't meant to be pristine its just a rehearsal tape but has a certain vibe that i like . lots of piano mistakes one or two off vocal notes and all that stuff ' it is not perfect far from it ' its completely a raw recording in a dingy old damp basement in buckingham gate . recorded on two old electret mics and an old soviet recorder ' this was by choice the recording procedure i could easily have got it clean and digital but it wasnt what i was looking for .#london #lgbtq #speakerscorner #amywinehouse #backtoblack #6buckinghamgate
