Building the NOT Minikorg Synth

I am a huge Korg synthesizer fan. The original MiniKORG is an interesting monophonic synthesizer from the early 70’s. It has the Traveler filter, which has a distinct sound.

Of course, I don’t have the money for one, but I have SynthMaster 2 waveforms. I sampled two different waveforms (Oscillator One is a MiniKORG, Oscillator Two is a Korg Lambda). Knob 8 controls the sound of both oscillators (in case you want just the MiniKORG or just the Lambda).

Filter one is a low pass filter and filter two is a band pass filter, making a quirky 70’s sound. The global filter is a waveshaper that brings warmth to the synth. The first four knobs are the attack, decay, sustain, and release.

And I’ve added lots of portamento. It’s very fun to play around with.
