This is a Motormouth couple car comparison of the Audi Q5 and the Genesis GV70. The Genesis offers more power than the Audi, the GV70 base engine is a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder with with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 300 horsepower, 311 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5L twin turbocharged V6 with an 8-speed automatic transmission has 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. The Q5 has a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a 7 speed automatic transmission, 261 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The SQ5 has a 3L turbocharged V6 with an 8 speed automatic transmission, 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Genesis 2.5T base model in Canada comes with plenty of standard features like, a 14.5” touchscreen, an 8” LCD instrument display cluster, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, heated leatherette front seats, a heated steering wheel and power passenger and driver seats. To get the bigger 12.3” digital instrument cluster and quilted Nappa leather seats, you have to move to the top trim of the 3.5T model. The Audi Q5 comes standard with many of the same features as the GV70, but it has a 10.1” touchscreen, a 7” colour driver display and leather seating surfaces with stitching. You have to move up to the Progressiv trim in Canada to get the heated steering wheel and the 12.3” driver display with Audi’s virtual cockpit. One thing to point out is the Audi SQ5 in Canada comes standard with a 12.3” driver display and Nappa leather sports seats with diamond stitching. You don’t have to pick the top trim to get these features like in the GV70.
