Hello fellow wigglers.

From time to time I'll make a Mangrove style subharmonic oscillator using Contour 1 or Function. I saw that Joranalogue has a video on this but the explanation didn't really click with my brain. Thus I assume I'm not the only one.

So here I tried to do quick explanation of how to create a subharmonic oscillator Essentially all you need to go is run a copy of your source audio into a switch or gated vca. Run the output of that switch into the trigger in of your function generator. Now take the rise or EOR output and use that to trigger/engage your switch/vca. The resulting waveform coming out of your function generator will be a subharmonic division of your original audio. Adjust the rise time to select different subharmonic divisions.

Run that through seperate vcas and filters for an entirely new sound. Or mix it in with your original source audio as a standard sub-oscillator.

I hope this helped and gave people some patch ideas. Thanks again for watching, if you have any questions let me know in the comments.
