Moving to Canada and then California years ago made me miss so many Mediterranean Lebanese dishes I couldn’t find elsewhere. One of them is “bizri” a tiny fish fried whole, bones and all. It’s served with crispy bread and tahini sauce. Simple, but so delicious. I was so happy to share it with Alita. She didn’t like it, but that’s okay she’s still a kid. When she grows up, I know she’ll learn to love it, just like her mama.
