Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, on Thursday implied the addition of two new white Republican members of Congress is rooted in racism.

Rep. Crockett's comment came while questioning U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Santos. She began by noting the population of the Lone Star State increased by 4 million people since the 2020 Census, resulting in Texas earning two new seats in the House.
