Released in mid-1962, Pot Luck was an important landmark in Elvis's career.
The Beatles rose to international fame in 1963, completely changing the face of rock'n'roll around the world.
By 1964 Elvis could only be seen in his movies and heard, mostly, in songs recorded for the movies. Indeed, his next album of new rock'n'roll songs came with From Elvis in Memphis in 1969.
In 1964 four of the songs on Pot Luck were taken and used in Elvis's 18th movie Tickle Me.
