Initially, Amnesia was a single man project : Stephan Novak. He did compose at home the whole tracks on the first album and then he went to the Disco Smash shop in Menen to ask for a production. Michel Nachtergaele and Bruno Vangarsse (who did never play a note on any record for which they are credited) agreed but created a band with Novak plus 2 dj's they knew (on the aim to be sure the record would be played in clubs). After a first successful LP, the producers decided to throw away Novak and to try to make more money using different composers and different styles under the name Amnesia.
