Nicholas Irving expressed his frustration with the hip-hop industry following the tragic deaths of rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his five-year-old daughter in Texas. Irving strongly criticized the pervasive violence he perceives in the hip-hop industry, singling out gangsta rap as a negative influence. He argued that the music perpetuates a cyclical culture of violence and unrealistic lifestyles that many rappers don't even live. While acknowledging hip-hop's role in helping some artists and their families escape poverty, Irving lamented the genre's darker aspects that often lead to violence. Both Irving and Shawn Prez conveyed a deep desire for cultural change and a shift away from glorifying violence in rap music.
