At the start of this video, Chef Vaughan shows us the most humane way to kill a lobster. He places the tip of a sharp knife behind the lobster's eyes, right below where the claws meet the body, and halfway to the first joint. He then swiftly plunges the knife down through the head and this kills the lobster immediately. The legs will continue to move a bit afterwards, but the lobster is dead.
