Matilde grew up going against the concept of probability, often asking herself, ‘What is the point of expecting so much from something if in the end we are never sure?’ Growing up, she decided to abandon the idea of probability and instead focus on her determination. She will talk about why she chose to stop believing in probability and how living with unpredictability transformed the way she makes choices. Her favourite word and principle is therefore serendipity, the happiness of finding unexpected things. Matilde is an 18-year-old Italian IB2 student attending St Clare's Oxford.
