This is my Tropicana Las Vegas demolition update taken on Monday, December 23, 2024. Today's video was taken from the top of the OYO Hotel parking deck located on the east side of the Tropicana site. There was a loader filling trucks with the crushed concrete that was crushed onsite. The trucks were transporting the crushed concrete off-site. I was thinking that they would have used it somewhere on-site. There were four excavators working on the rear tower. Two with jackhammers and two with buckets. The back tower appears to be farther along in demolition than the front tower. Crews are still working on breaking up all of the concrete structures around the front tower area. There is also a lot of the basement structure left behind the front tower area. The tree is still standing as well as the cooler in the basement area. It's been about 2 1/2 months since the implosion.
