Jesus wasn’t setting us up to be indefinitely abused and persecuted with His teaching to “turn the other cheek”. The standard He set is one of doing the opposite of our sinful nature. In other words, it would be better to turn the other cheek than to strike back. His pointing is really towards the middle way, the undefined third option, and in this video I explain.
