In the House Committee for Science, Space, & Technology markup on June 15, 2021 for H.R.3593, the "Science for the Future Act", Representative Don Beyer proposed an amendment advocating for increasing the commercial viability of fusion. Representative Lucas and Representative McNerney shared their support for Representative Beyer and his amendment. The amendment passed unanimously, and the bill was sent to the floor.
