This comparison is another proof of how ridicolous it is to buy Bose Companion 20 speakers for music listening when there are so many better speakers on the market. Edifier R1280T is less than half of the price of Bose, yet it sounds more natural and realistic across the range (even when Edifier is not the most neutral and natural by itself). Edifier also can play MUCH louder while staying composed when Bose falls apart very fast and starts to sound unpleasant at moderate levels. Bose has sound that is nice at brief listen when You listen to them in isolation, but as soon as You start to compare the sound to other offerings on the market it all falls apart. Not recommended.
