STORYLINE:
Newly released Israeli hostage Ofer Kalderon was transferred to the Sheba Hospital in southern Israel on Saturday hours after his freed from captivity in Gaza.

Kalderon, 54, was flown by helicopter to the facility in Ramat Gan for a health evaluation.

He was one of three hostages freed on Saturday under the latest round of exchanges under the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.

The six-week phase one truce calls for the release of 33 hostages and nearly 2,000 prisoners, as well as the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza and an increase in humanitarian aid to the devastated territory.
