Lyrics:
Down by the lake, the sun is shining
Down on the dock, you’ll find me there
In my boat, no troubles reach me
On that lake, I have no cares
On the lake, kids are swimming
Shouts and laughs, they fill the air
The speed boats growl and jet skis scream by
The lake’s alive, without a care
I love that lake on summer days
The wind, the waves, a sunburned face
How I love the lake on balmy days
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the rays
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the haze
Down by the lake, a campfire is burning
Fishing off the dock there’s walleyes there
The moon is bright, my hound dogs’ barking
The beer tastes right, so I just don’t care
I love that lake on summer days
The wind, the waves, a sunburned face
How I love the lake on balmy days
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the rays
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the haze
Ain’t no city for me
I need the sun, waves, wind and the trees
Too much hustle and bustle for me
I need that blue lake
For my soul to be free
Down by the lake, the sun is shining
Down on the dock, you’ll find me there
In my boat, no troubles reach me
On that lake, I have no cares
I love that lake on summer days
The wind, the waves, a sunburned face
How I love the lake on balmy days
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the rays
The sites, the sounds, the smells, the haze
