Stream/download 'Immersed in Black Water' via optional platform:
Adna’s music has had more than 50 million streams on the large DSPs, and has had her melancholic, lo-fi work compared to the likes of Bon Iver and Daughter. Following on from the release of her stunning 2017 full-length ‘Closure’, an album which was lauded across numerous outlets including Stereogum, CLASH, The Line Of Best Fit, DIY and many more, Swedish-born but Berlin-based singer songwriter Adna returned to unveil her eagerly-awaited new studio collection ‘Black Water’, released on Despotz Records in the end of 2021.
Berlin based producer Linn Elisabet created a remix for Adna's whole album 'Black Water' using only vocal stems, calling it: 'Immersed in Black Water' (Linn Elisabet You Will Version). Linn Elisabet about the remix:
- "Adna and I have figurated in each other’s periphery for almost ten years, through friends, through work, and I always loved her vocals. My own production is heavily influenced by artists like Julianna Barwick and Lyra Pramuk. I only worked with my own vocals previously, but when offered the opportunity to remix Adna’s album I knew instantly what element of her work that I wanted to focus on. Since all songs touched me so deeply, I wanted to find a way to bring them all together, so I asked for the vocal stems of the whole album and made this vocal collage. In a way I felt that was the best way to honor the album format too, which has been grossly overlooked since streaming became the dominant medium of engaging with music."
